(Perugia, Italy – June, 2007) - The Ascoli Soccer Academy Cup was held in Perugia this past June 25th - 30th, 2007 for the 6th consecutive time. The tournament was open to boys of 12 and 13 years of age. A special two day soccer training session was also held for teams traveling from United States and Canada, allowing them to learn from some of the best Italian Soccer Coaches such as Bruno Redolfi, former Ascoli Soccer Academy Technical Director.

It is well-known in the world of soccer that Italy is a strong soccer country. They won the 2006 World Cup and are currently ranked first in the world by the FIFA organization. And, for the first time, Triangle area youth will have the opportunity to learn some of the finer technical and tactical points of Italian soccer.

Professional Youth Soccer Coaches from Italy will come to USA this July to teach American youth soccer players the finer technical and tactical points of Italian soccer.

The "International Grifo Cup" tournament was held in the structures of the "R. Curi" stadium in Perugia Italy on June 23-24-25, 2005. The 3rd edition of the International Grifo Cup was hosted by AC Perugia Calcio and AC Perugia Scuola Calcio (soccer school).
